Ulrich Schnauss is a synth-based composer from Germany who has become well regarded due to his combining of audio and visual performances. He is a synth composer in the classical sense inasmuch as he takes great pains to make sure his songs translate to a simple piano before he adds his low- and high-frequency oscillators, pads, and other treatments.
