16. Fields: Recording on the Emerald Isle

Fields brings truth to the notion that at any given time, somewhere in the world, someone is producing a bedroom masterpiece. Most of the songs on Seven from the Village, the band’s first EP, were conceived and roughed out in Nick Peill’s home studio, which was modest by any stretch. After a U.K.-based record label got hold of Peill’s demo, they immediately identified the spark and potential in the songs and wanted to get an album out to market without delay.
