When I spoke to Nick Mason, he had just finished his autobiography on Pink Floyd, Inside Out, which documented and recalled his experiences as the drummer for Pink Floyd over three decades. Mason is the only member to have remained with Pink Floyd throughout the complete duration of the group’s career. The book, which came out in 2006, is written with a startling degree of detail, and where Mason’s amazing memory falls short, he has drawn upon his former bandmates and colleagues to fill in the blanks.
