LASSO regression

The term LASSO stands for Least Absolute Shrinkage Selection Operator. The coefficients that tend to zero in ridge regression are set to zero in LASSO regression, and such factors can easily be eliminated from the predictor function equation. LASSO regression is generally used when there is a very large number of variables, since LASSO automatically does the variables selection.
