Delphi is a marvelous language for writing Win32 GUI-based applications. Kylix is the companion product that runs under Linux. Their support for Rapid Application Design (RAD) and visual programming is superior to almost every other Windows or Linux programming approach available. However, being Pascal based, there are some things that just cannot be done in Delphi/Kylix and many things that cannot be done as efficiently in Delphi/Kylix as in assembly language.
