I BEGAN WRITING THIS CHAPTER STARING INTO THE SCREEN OF MY Blackberry. I considered the topic of the chapter, opened my mind, and let my thoughts pour out through my thumbs onto the minipage. Those were the notes that would eventually become the text you’re reading now.
If you had told me ten years ago I’d be writing the first draft of my book with my thumbs on a two-inch screen, I would have laughed. But times have changed and technology has propelled us into a brave new world. The truth is, if I had to wait until I had time to clear my schedule, sit down at my desk, and write as I’d been taught in grade school, these pages would never have made it out of my head.
