The Arduino Uno

The Arduino Uno was announced on September 25, 2011 at the New York Maker Faire. The model name Uno is Italian for the number one and is intended to correspond with the Uno Punto Zero, or 1.0 release of the Arduino software. Previous releases, numbered 0001 through 0022 have been considered alpha, or preliminary releases.

The Arduino Uno maintains a remarkable resemblance to its forebears. The physical form factor has remained the same.
