In this chapter, you’ll explore some of the equipment that conceivably you might need, beginning with my take on the ultimate maker’s toolkit. After that, I detail multimeters, those invaluable measuring devices that electronics hackers swear by. You’ll then learn about various tools you need to work in wood, plastic, and metal. I know this all costs a lot of money, so I provide suggestions on how to get access to tools without a huge investment.
