The selection and composition of media

The selection of the materials to be used to make a model depends on its purpose, the stage of the design process and how quickly it needs to be constructed. In order to determine which materials are appropriate, it is important, as described above, to think about the level of abstraction and the scale required. If a model is to be relatively abstract, it makes sense to make it out of one material and focus on the form and mass of the design.
