Enterprise network

The enterprise network is where the on-premises systems and users are located and includes users and applications. Enterprise data is also included and holds metadata on the data as well as systems of record for enterprise applications. It may flow directly to data integration or the data repositories and includes the following:

  • Reference data
  • Master data
  • Transactional data
  • Application data
  • Log data
  • Enterprise content data
  • Historical data
  • Archived data

The enterprise user directory contains the user profiles for both the cloud and enterprise users. A user profile provides a login account and access control lists. Security and edge services use this to manage data access.
