The first section of this book provided background information about the modern-day apprenticeship scheme. This section of the book goes on to provide information for students (including school and college leavers) and adult learners.
Now that you understand more about apprenticeships, you need to start to think about whether undertaking an apprenticeship programme is suitable for you, personally. To do this effectively you need to seek appropriate advice and guidance, undertake a self-evaluation, balance your needs and wants, consider the practicalities and assess the positive and negative points about taking part in such a programme. These issues are discussed in this chapter.
