How apprenticeships work

In the previous chapter we saw that there are various levels of apprenticeship available, depending on age, where people live and their previous experience and qualifications. These levels also have an influence on the type of funding that is available (from government and from employers), the type of training that is received (employment or college-based) and the contract of employment, including salary and length of programme. These issues are discussed in this chapter.
