Self indique ce qui se rapporte au seul sujet en question, et intervient comme suffixe dans de très nombreux mots et locutions : self-evident, qui saute aux yeux, self-defense, légitime défense, self-filling, remplissage automatique, etc. Aussi selfish, égoïste.
