I want the children to learn their music.

Je veux que les enfants apprennent leur musique.

Cette tournure permet de pallier l’absence de subjonctif (tu viens, que tu viennes ; ils font, qu’ils fassent ; il va, qu’il aille).

Sue (to want) children (to play, street) :

Sue doesn’t want the children to play in the street.

On peut remplacer « children » par « them » (pronom complément : me, him, her, it, us, you, them).

I want them to learn their music.

Je veux qu’ils apprennent leur musique.
