Chapter 3. Documenting Use Cases

We have completed the inception phase of our project by deciding that we are going to do this project. It looks feasible to management and marketing. Now we need to spend more time adding details to the technical parts of the documentation.

During the elaboration phase you will spend time adding details to the requirements of the project. You want to finish this phase of the project having confidence that technically it can be completed within a certain time frame and budget. The documents you will be creating include detailed use cases, an architecture, and a project plan. You might also create one or more prototypes to test some particular piece of the system.
