Summary

This chapter has concentrated on the .NET Framework, with a particular focus on Web Service–related features and classes.

The .NET Framework is such an improvement over the existing Windows technologies that we're certain that most Windows developers will make the transition to .NET very quickly. Not only does it provide a robust environment for your software to execute within, but it also eases the overall development experience by providing a consistent and well-thought-out design.
