Applied Process Control

Preface

A series of problems is presented following the material in the accompanying book: Applied Process Control – Essential Methods. After all of the problem statements, the corresponding worked solutions are presented in the same order in the second half of this book. Many of the problems have been used in examinations for Process Engineering students, mostly at the undergraduate level, but a few also for postgraduate research students. These test problems typically require 10–30 min for their solution. Apart from such short problems, there is in addition a range of more time-consuming problems covering aspects that can only be dealt with using computer programs.
