9.9. Summary
We have seen how important transaction management is to many applications, and how the application, EJB server, and transaction manager work together to co-ordinate complex distributed transactions. For the developer, the important issue is to decide where the transaction boundaries lie, and whether to demarcate these boundaries using API calls or transaction attributes. Both methods have their strengths and weaknesses.
