5.3. Goals of the application
The new application is to handle the administrative recordkeeping of the Prestige Bike Hire company and make it possible for customers to do business using the Web. A Web browser interface will also be used for internal administrative operations.
In outline, the Web interface should make it possible for customers to browse the stock of available motorcycles, place and cancel reservations, and maintain their own customer profiles. Staff should be able to carry out these tasks, in addition to checking in and checking out vehicles, viewing the status of financial transactions, and managing the stock.
