Overview
This appendix describes how to install, configure, and test the Prestige Bike Hire application using the J2EE Reference Implementation, and demonstrates the application in operation.
Getting the Prestige Bike Hire application case study up and running consists of the following steps: deployment of the application as an EAR file, initialization with sample data, creation of new users and groups, and creation of the message queues. To be able to run the application, you will also need to start up the ‘dummy legacy system’ which handles the offline financial transactions.
