In this chapter, I showed you the MVC framework's unobtrusive Ajax feature, which allows you to perform Ajax requests in a neat and elegant way. You could use jQuery directly for all of the features shown in this chapter, but the integration of the Ajax helper methods and the routing system make life easier in most MVC framework projects.
