Summary

In this chapter, we created a simple web application using the MVC framework and saw the major architectural components: the model, the view, and the controller. There is more initial setup required with the MVC framework (as opposed to Web Forms, for example). Once the building blocks are in place, we can begin to add functionality more rapidly, as you'll see in the chapters that follow.

As I said at the start of the chapter, don't worry if not everything makes sense at this point. There are a lot of new concepts to learn with the MVC framework, and it can take a while to grasp them.
