  • Use shorter directory paths. Beware of the Windows 259 character limit. Also, there are no spaces in directory paths.
  • If you experience a failed WID installation, identify where and why the installation failed by referring to the installation logs, as mentioned in the preceding sections. Before attempting another install, uninstall any existing versions using IBM Installation Manager, restart the machine, and run the install setup process again. You can also roll back a particular upgrade, FixPak, or iFix using the IBM Installation Manager.
