Linux Tools

Abstract

Tools are available to Application Administrators on Linux servers. Most of the tools described in this chapter are command line type tools that can be executed in one of the Linux shells.

Linux is a derivative of UNIX, so many of the commands and techniques described in Chapter 24 on UNIX apply to Linux as well. In this chapter, I tried to list only the commands and features that are unique to Linux or are significantly changed from their UNIX incantation.
