Abstract

Every application requires other support software on its server. This chapter describes software and functionality it provides for the application. Some examples of support software are web servers, software frameworks, database client software, database access tools, firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection, log monitoring, vulnerability scanner, monitoring software, backup software, and scheduling software.
