Taming Complex Data for the Watch

Five seconds.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five.

Those five seconds are roughly the amount of time you have in your Watch application to grab the attention of the user and fulfill the expectations they had when they raised their wrist and opened your application.

It may seem like a daunting challenge. When creating a Watch experience for an application that connects to any large data source, it is very likely that just describing the types of information available to your users would take far, far longer than five seconds.

What is a developer to do? How can you give a user the information or action they need within such a short span of time?
