Appendix E. Providing Directory Services to Windows Computers
If you have Windows computers in your network that are not already part of an Active Directory domain, you can provide them with directory services from Mac OS X Server. Mac OS X Server v10.6’s primary domain controller (PDC) supports Windows NT 4.x, 2000, XP, and Vista. (Windows 7 should work, but it isn't on the officially supported list by Apple at the time of the writing.) Your Open Directory master can be a PDC for Windows computers, providing identification, authentication, and file services.
