Flashing Question Mark Appears on the Screen
1. | Start up using the system disc that came with the computer and see if the hard drive mounts on the desktop. |
2. | Launch Drive Setup (Mac OS 9 only) and update the hard drive driver. |
3. | If Drive Setup (or Disk Utility, if using Mac OS X) does not find the hard drive, verify that the hard drive cable is connected properly. |
4. | Replace the hard drive data or power cable. |
5. | Reinstall the software drivers for the hard drive. |
6. | Back up all data, and then reinstall system software. |
7. | Reinitialize the hard drive. |
8. | Replace the hard drive. |
9. | Replace the logic board. |
