Installing an AirPort Card
The original 700 MHz eMac model with the NVIDIA graphics controller has a slot for the AirPort Card. All subsequent models have a slot for the faster AirPort Extreme Card.
The following installation process is extremely simple. It can be accomplished with the computer in its normal operating position and all peripherals attached.
1. | Save and quit open documents. |
2. | If you have the keyboard attached to the eMac, press the Media Eject key to open the access door. Otherwise, carefully pry the door open with a flathead screwdriver.
NOTE Be careful not to put undue pressure on the door or bezel; they might snap off. |
3. | Make sure the drive tray is open. |
4. | From the Apple menu, choose Shut Down. |
