Chapter 2. Initial Setup

To take full advantage of Final Cut Pro, you need to make certain preparations before you begin your work. If you are the only person using your Mac, you may not need to change or confirm any settings. If, however, you are sharing a system with others, you need to ensure that the compression and format settings are configured properly for your edit. When you work under tight deadlines, and the last thing you need is to be unable to deliver your story once you finish editing.
