Chapter 11. The Geometry and Actions Panes

While you’ll use Inspector’s Encoder pane for the “heavy lifting” in Compressor, in the other panes you’ll fine-tune and finesse encoding jobs. In the Geometry and Actions panes, you’ll change the output frame size, adjust the aspect ratio of the output movie, pad the source movie inside the output frame size, and assign actions to jobs in the batch table that will run an AppleScript or send an email when the job is completed.

Using the Geometry Pane

The Geometry pane settings control the frame size and aspect ratio of the output media and also determine how the source media displays within the output frame.
