6. Editing Basics

Final Cut Pro provides edit functions to build a project with simple and/or complex edits. The fundamental goal of editing is to craft a story, so every edit centers on the primary storyline. Video, audio, and graphics live within or connect to the primary storyline (which itself is the base video/audio thread that runs for the duration of your Timeline).

Applying Append, Insert, Connect, and Overwrite Edits
