Learning to draw furniture is super helpful because it can be used in so many different settings for your drawings. I love vintage furniture—especially mid-century pieces. I have a few pieces that I have learned to draw from memory and they have served me well in creating images of interesting interiors!

What makes furniture exciting to draw is its varied textures. Furniture can be made of so many different fabrics and materials.

In this chapter, you will learn to draw different kinds of fabric and create the texture of wood. These will come in handy when you branch out to draw other furniture!
