Creating Rough Sets

At this point, you have character models, a story reel, and not much else. It is time to start bringing the pieces together. Your characters need a meeting place, and that place is going to be a rough set. If your final set will be very simple, there is no need to create a rough version at this early stage. Just build your final set and skip this section. If you’re wondering why you would want to create a rough set, well, it comes back to time.
