IntelliJ IDEA
Some developers, myself included, are not huge fans of Eclipse. Although the integrated development environment works, it's not optimal for development, in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of Jet Brain's products and use them all over my development arena. IntelliJ IDEA is a Java IDE that allows you to build Android (and other Java) applications. The community version is free, so download it and build your next Android app with it! Note that the Google Android team only develops the ADT plug-in for Eclipse, therefore any updates that need to be applied to IntelliJ IDEA will have to wait until the Jet Brains team gets them implemented.
