Unlocking Your Tablet
Different tablets may have slight variations for how you unlock them, but they generally start out with an easy dragging unlock gesture.
The example on the left comes from the Xoom. Simply touch the Lock icon and a circle will appear. Drag the lock out of the circle by swiping your finger and you'll unlock the screen.
This isn't your only option for a screen lock, but this is the default. You can use passwords, patterns, and in Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), you can use facial recognition.
