Sports Games

If you play a sport, there’s probably an app for that. You can track your favorite real life teams, but you can also use ESPN’s free Fantasy Football app to track your imaginary teams. Pocket Soccer from RasterGrid is a game that combines soccer with a bit of air hockey mechanics to make an enjoyable game for soccer fans. Just fling your marble-like players at the ball and try to score goals. You can play one- or two-player versions.

The app on the right is the free 3D Bowling by Italy Games. Drag the bowling ball toward the pins to see how well you do. You’ll see extra fanfare for moves like strikes and turkeys.

This game can also be used to explain bowling to new players, who may not understand how scores work.
