Making Phone Calls with Skype
You can make phone calls using the Skype app from your tablet. Calls to other Skype users anywhere in the world are free.
CAUTION: Some phone carriers charge users extra to use Skype or block the service altogether.
The Skype service works on computers and many mobile devices, including iPhones, Android phones, BlackBerry smartphones, and other mobile devices. You will be charged for calls and SMS text messages to mobile phones and land lines, but the rates are reasonable.
Skype is in the process of being acquired by Microsoft at the time of writing; however, Skype officials have stated that the company plans on continuing support for Skype on Android and other devices.
