HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface, and it's the cable used by most modern HDTVs and many computer monitors and projectors to stream pictures and sound. Some tablets and phones with HDMI output are even Dolby-certified to stream in 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. That makes your tablet a portable piece of home theater equipment.
