Google Labs and Quick Controls

Google Labs is an area where you can find experimental features. They may not become permanent features, but part of the analysis for what becomes permanent is how many people use them. If your browser has a Labs tab in the Settings menu, you can give the experimental features a try. (Only the Xoom tablet had a Labs tab at the time of writing, but other tablets may receive this feature in a future update.)

When this is turned on, you no longer see the standard tabbed browser; rather, you press and hold to the right of the screen to make the Quick Control bar appear, which gives you access to most controls.
