Bluetooth Profiles

Bluetooth profiles determine how devices interact with each other and control things like printing, transferring files, playing sounds, and using devices like joysticks. In order to be compatible, both items have to understand the same profile. That means you’ll have to check your tablet and your device to make sure they’re compatible.

Most current tablets support the following technologies:

  • A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile): Stream audio to headphones.
  • AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile): Use remote controls to control your tablet.
  • OPP (Object Push Profile): Transfer files from one device to another.
