Abstract

Retrospective databases describing health information have become a common source of data for investigators to explore a wide range of economic, epidemiologic, safety, and effectiveness studies. This chapter describes an abridged checklist containing 10 of the most important points to consider when evaluating or designing a retrospective database study.
