Buck or boost: rugged, fast 60V synchronous controller does both

Abstract

The LTC3703-5 synchronous switching regulator controller is described. It can directly step down input voltages up to 60V and withstand transients up to 80V, making it ideal for harsh environments. Its use as a step-up converter is also described.
