Preface

This book is an outcome of my experience of teaching the subject ‘Electronic Communication’ to students at various levels—starting from undergraduate students of technology to postgraduates in both technology and applied science. Electronic communication has become an integral part of our everyday life and the areas of application are increasing at a very fast pace. Although the major modern day applications evolve in the digital domain, a clear understanding of the essential features of the analog domain is imperative for better understanding of modern communication processes.
