About the Author

Robert Clair has spent 20+ years in the commercial software industry, writing CAD and graphics software for a variety of systems and platforms. For the past eight years, he has specialized in Mac OS X and now iPhone development. He is currently principal of Chromatic Bytes, LLC where he has designed and coded both desktop OS X software (ZeusDraw, a vector drawing program; and Shades, an addition to the Apple color picker) and two iPhone programs (ZeusDraw Mobile, a drawing program; and Orfeo, a metronome and pitch-pipe tuner). He has also consulted on several other iPhone applications. Clair holds a Ph.D. in experimental physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
