Basic network security rules should also be followed. There is a world of people

out there on the Internet, and precautions should be taken to assure they remain

“out there.” This is done by either not connecting to the Internet or by isolating

the inbound network (intranet) using a firewall system connected to the outside

world (Internet). See Figure 1-2 on page 4.
