You might still be able to find one, somewhere in the recesses of an office-supply or stationery store. Even so, the traditional address book doesn’t sell as well as it once did. Phone books, too, have become kind of passé. At my house, someone drops off a hefty phone book or some yellow pages and it goes immediately into the recycle bin. Gone are the days when a clutch of phone numbers was written on the inside of a kitchen cabinet.
