Introduction

I’m naturally nervous whenever electronics are named after something that burns. Apple’s FireWire technology was terrifying, but somehow the Fire phone doesn’t seem as scary. No, I imagine it’s something a firefighter would use to save lives and property. That’s a happy thing.

What makes having a Fire phone even better is reading a good book that helps unweave the multitudinous mysteries that surround the device. Amazon packed a lot of magic into that tiny box. This book’s goal is to make a complex subject like the Fire phone easy to understand. Here I carefully explain all its magical features in a friendly, informative way. The tone is light and entertaining, but that doesn’t distract from the solid information. With this book in your possession, you’ll find yourself more comfortable with the phone and happy to know that you’re getting the most of its technology.
