Next, configure a scaling action for which three options are available: Add, Set to and Remove:
- Select Add to add a specified number of tasks when the alarm threshold is exceeded. By alarm threshold exceeded, it does not always imply that some value for a metric has been exceeded, but implies that the comparison used in the alarm threshold has been exceeded. The comparison itself could be a less than (<) comparison.
- Specify the number of tasks to add as 1. Alternatively, a percentage of tasks may be added by selecting percent. The complete scaling is shown next.
