Celebrate Success of All Sizes

How many times have you been reprimanded, corrected, or scolded for minor actions? Now, think about how many times you’ve been patted on the back, congratulated, or rewarded for other small actions. I’m willing to bet that you can think of more of the first than the second.

We’re all guilty of being quick to correct situations while not recognizing or rewarding behaviors where great things are accomplished. If you want to be happier, you’ve got to learn to celebrate all levels of success.

We are taught to celebrate major milestones. New jobs, babies, and awards are always a good place to start. But what about the smaller victories that might happen daily? Why are we not celebrating those?

Life is much happier when we are celebrating. It is hard to argue with that. Thus, more celebrating equals a happier life.

Take the time to recognize even the simplest of victories. There will be plenty of struggles, and having memories of your successes and celebrations are good to look back on—a bit of light when stuck in a cave of darkness.

Be sure to also celebrate those around you. Those types of things are remembered, appreciated, and most often are returned to you in the future.
